Can’t Log in to ING Direct

Every time I try to log into ING Direct to do online banking with my saving account, I enter my PIN and then it just takes me back to the first login screen.

I tried emailing them but I just get back a stock response about allowing cookies. I’m already allowing cookies!

I tried clearing all of my cookies and now it says:
“We thought you left, so for your security we signed you out. Please sign back in below.”

But every time I try to log in now, It just brings me back to the login page with that same message.

I’m pretty frustrated. I suspect this is happening because I’m on Firefox on Linux (Ubuntu).

I have no answer for now except to log in using Windows :-(

I had the same issue on Firefox/Ubuntu. I was able to login using Windows, and I think Firefox.

    Hey Greg,

At this time we do not support Linux systems, for a list of the browsers that are supported please visit: http://home.ingdirect.com/security/security.asp?s=HowToProtectYourself

  4. Hi Greg, Jeff and Brad:

My name is Michael Chermside, and I’m a developer here at ING Direct, who works on (among other things) our website. I noticed this exchange and wanted to chime in.

The person writing from “savers@ingdirect” is quoting our official list of supported systems, but I wanted to assure you that ING Direct’s website *really does* support Linux systems, even though they are not on that list. It’s not in our list of systems that we regression test against with every release, but it *IS* definitely supported.

Your problem is not the operating system itself, but must have something to do with the settings and environment of the browser you are using to log in. Brad or Jeff, can you provide a little more detail about the problems? Perhaps you can log on at a particular time and tell me the IP address you are coming from or your CIF so I can check the server logs for errors? (Please do NOT tell me (or anyone else!!) your PIN or login information!)

I’ll check back here for replies.

I have the same exact problem with Firefox on a Mac. I had to use Safari to access the ING Direct site the last couple of times.

I’m on windows and have been having the same issue for about a month now and customer service can’t help me. It was working perfectly fine before and now nothing. Does not make since to me?
