First of all, don’t do this! I hate it. I find myself needing to do some navigation task on a web page from my phone and I just need to zoom into something a little bit to be able to click it, but alas I’m forbidden.

I’m looking up how this gets disabled to I can write a series of bookmarkletts to turn off these annoying things.

It turns out mobile Safari has some settings that can be configured on a per page basis from the page’s meta tags.
