What is Lemek Q53 on my Credit Card Statement?
I saw these two charges on my credit statement today and got all worried it was some kind of fraud or other devious thing:

So I called my credit card company, but all they could tell me is that it may be the parent company of a fast food resturant. But using that information I refined my search and finally located the answer:
Lemek LLC is the owner of all Panera Bread restaurants in Maryland. I found the info here.
By the way, when I was on the phone with the credit card company, I disputed the charges because the woman told me they would then mail me the recipt I signed. Now that I know it’s Panera, I feel bad. Panera, if you’re reading this, I’m sorry! I love you! At least this post may prevent future customers from disputing their Panera bills.
My search queries:
- LEMEK
- LEMEK + credit card statement
- LEMEK + “credit card statement”
- LEMEK Q53
- lemek food
- lemek parent company

Thank you so much! I was wondering the same thing and got your page as the result of a Google search. Now that’s the way to find answers!
Glad I could help, anonymous.
Thank you. I also found this Lemek on my statement and had to call the credit card company. I did a google search and also found this site. It is wonderful that people are willing to take their time to help others. thanks again
Glad to help, anonymous #2. In fact I’m getting 20+ Lemek searches coming to this page a day! If I ran a business like Panera I’d just call it Panera! They should really get that fixed.
Thanks for your helpful posting. I found too many LEMEK charges on my credit card statement. I guess I love Panera bread too.
Perfect. You were the first relevant hit on google when I searched for LEMEK bank statement.
Good stuff. This is why I LOVE THE WEB!
Dear readers,
Thank you for putting this up. However, I woud still be concerned that LEMEK does not provide any additional info to payment services. At least a phone number or any other type of identifier would be helpful in avoiding this in the first place.
Yours truly,
Thanks,
I’ve been on the phone disputing this fast food purchase on my statement for almost an hour. While sitting on hold and being transferred to one dept after another I decided to pull up the website. Thanks again clearing this matter up!

Thanks for the info. Chase, my credit card company, used your site to respond to my inquiry while I was on the phone challenging the charge. Without it, I doubt that even would have figured it out. This change to Lemek must have happened recently, as my prior statements contained the name “Panera” and the store number. Thanks again.
Thanks! This really helped me out – prevented a call to the credit card company.
This is the second time i had it on my credit card, the first time i had to call and dispute it because the credit card company told me it was “a fast food restarunt” which i don’t typiclly eat it, and if i do, i pay cash. this time it came up, i got super wrorried, i googled it, and you came up!! (you werent up yet the first time) Thanks a lot! you rock.
I contacted Lemek LLC and they indicated that the credit card company had changed the billing name and didn’t tell anyone. They had no idea. They were very apologetic and said they would work to immediately correct the address. Thanks for all these other posts!
Good idea to call Lemek LLC, Anonymous. It’s great that they’re going to fix it. Though I must admit I’m a bit sad that my “Lemek” search traffic is going to go down
Thank you, We were searching for a reciept with LEMEK on it. No luck – this solved the issue. Keep up the good work.
